Obama Cans his VP Vetter, James Johnson

Speculation is rife that Obama is just another corporate puppet, however there is a new twist to that theory. Today it was announced that Friend of Bilderberg, James Johnson was released from his duties on Obama’s running mate selection committee. The reason given was his shenanigans related to preferential mortgage treatment from Countrywide Financial, but I have a feeling that Obama is his own man and it may go deeper than that.

Hopefully the final selection of his running mate will bear this out by not being a Bilderberger preselect.

 

Campbell’s Liberals Force Closure of TILMA Bill 32 in BC

Despite significant public outcry, Bill 32 went into effect without any vote in the Legislature today. The enabling legislation sets the private courts system Trade Investment and Labour Mobility (TILMA) into motion, ceding the right to corporations to sue local governments and other entities for regulations deemed to impede profits.

“For the past year and a half the Minister for Economic Development Colin Hansen has repeatedly promised that TILMA would be debated and voted on,” says Carleen Pickard, regional organizer with the Council of Canadians. “It is incredible that there has been no discussion on an agreement that will lower standards across the two provinces and undermine local government autonomy. The government has gone to extreme measures to make sure the public knows nothing about it.”

The controversial agreement, signed secretly between the BC and Alberta premiers in 2006, came into effect on April 1, 2007. Some components of the agreement came into effect immediately while others will take effect in 2009, when the agreement will fully apply to municipalities, and other government entities. While the signatories believe TILMA will increase business and competition between the provinces, critics are outraged that the governments see fit to override local decision making and democracy for the benefit of corporations.

 

Gardasil… Merck’s Cash Cow on Steroids

To celebrate their success in convincing many governments around the world to innoculate little girls against STD’s, Merck has unveiled the next phase of their campaign.

In a bizarre turn of events, Merck is now starting the push to vaccinate little boys. This development was hinted at as early as May, when an article was published suggesting that cancer of the throat and tonsils can arise from infection with a sexually transmitted virus.

The escalation of this phase has continued on schedule. It has now reached the point where unnamed “researchers” are advising that Gardasil should also be given to boys to help avert cancers linked to oral sex. Next step, watch for the slick, hypnotic “Tell Someone” type television ads to start targeting boys.

Update on dryer sheets vs ants…

It works! Bugs and critters are smart enough to know whats not healthy to be around.

We had an ant problem in the carport and so we stuffed a bunch of dryer sheets around their routes. The ants have all moved on. I’m going to cram some around the foundation of the house this fall too, maybe it will keep the rodents out.

No need to buy the expensive brand name dryer sheets like Bounce, the cheap ones from the dollar store did the trick. They must all use the same toxins.

 

Be wary of food labeled “All Natural”

I’ve seen shoppers pick up junk food and go… “hmm… all natural…” and toss it into their buggy thinking they were getting something healthy.

Don’t be fooled by “all natural” claims on foods and grocery products

…the truth is that food manufacturers can use just about any ingredients or processes they want while still claiming their foods are all-natural. They can take whole wheat berries from nature, mill them down and strip out 98% of the nutrients, bleach the flour with chemicals, “enrich” the flour with synthetic chemical vitamins, and then claim their wheat is “all natural.”

And why is it natural? Because it comes from the earth, they would say. It was grown by nature.

Sure it was, but then it was physically and chemically modified, adulterated, contaminated and altered in ways that destroy its natural properties. The final product has no resemblance to anything truly natural.

Of course the corporations can get away with misleading the public because the government is bought and paid for, and firmly in their pocket.
